Kirow H. descends from the legendary Hockey, considered by the German Trakehner
Verband to be the most influential breeding stallion after WWII. During Hockey’s career
he became the Soviet Champion in Dressage and won various other championships
in other European countries. Hockey represents the world famous Pomeranets/Pilgrim
line; Hockey has produced a number of Soviet, German and European Champions in
both dressage and jumping disciplines. His offspring are famous for their elegant movement
and equal compatibility for either jumper or dressage rings. Kirow was the 2004
winner of several Dressage Championships in Level 2, and won “Best Breeding Stallion
Under Saddle 4 Years and Older” and the “Canadian Dressage Horse of the Year” by the
American Warmblood Society. In 2005 he was also awarded the title of “Supreme Stallion”
by the AWS. An attractive chestnut with great presence in the dressage ring, Kirow
consistently breeds dominant chestnut with white markings. Strong bone, good hooves and
powerful hindquarters give this stallion the potential to improve any other breed. Kirow himself
has produced 5 generations of supreme foal quality featuring not only his exceptional gaits,
but also his gentle temperament and willing character. Success is not an accident here!
