Ikoon is approved with the KWPN, having finished 13th in their gruelling 100 Day Test as a three-year-old in Holland. He went on to compete in World Cup Qualifiers and finished 2nd in the 1999 Dutch Championships prior to being imported to Canada.
Ikoon spent his first few years in Canada proving himself here by winning in both the Grand Prix and Hunter rings. He has since focused on his breeding career. Ikoon’s offspring receive his obvious stamp of talent, type and temperament.
Ikoon is by the legendar y Libero H (1994 World Cup Champion and 4 time Dutch
Champion with 10 World Cup Qualifying wins). 25% of Libero H’s offspring have gone on to compete at the International Level, for which he was awarded the Preferent predicate, the highest award a stallion can receive. Ikoon’s dam’s sire is the legendary Nimmerdor, KWPN Stallion of the Century 2000, who produced over 60 International show jumpers and is undoubtedly one of the best show jumper sires of the world.
