Born in France, Frenchman was competing successfully when injury curtailed his career.
In 2002 he returned to competition in Canada with outstanding results, winning
several jumper division championships, a Triple Crown title and is a serious competitor in
the eventing world. Frenchman has inherited his father’s enormous scope and rideability.
Frenchman scores 9’s in his dressage and is careful and brave to his fences. He is short
coupled and has an amazing work ethic, as well as an incredible temperament. Frenchman’s
sire is one of the current show jumping greats (63 Int. GP wins) and is producing
outstanding international performers (most recently WEG 2002) as well as being twice
European show jumping champion. Frenchman’s dam is a direct Alme daughter (the sire
of all sires) whose bloodline needs no introduction. In 2005, Frenchman completed a
CIC** at Tallahassee with Peter Gray and has been placed almost every time out at Intermediate.
Frenchman also won the preliminary 2005 combined year end award for OHTA
with Ruth Armstrong. Frenchman is schooling advanced with ease and will be competing
in 2008 with Ruth Armstrong at the 2** eventing as well as in the jumper divisions.
