STEEPED IN LUCK is the first and only purebred Irish Draught in the world to be long-listed to a national dressage team. He was placed on Equine Canada’s High Performance long-list for dressage with his rider/trainer, Tom Dvorak.Steeped in Luck made his Canadian Sport Horse competitive debut at the 2011 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair where he placed 2nd in the stallion class - a remarkable feat for a horse true to Irish Draught breed standard with 10 inches of bone. The judge described him as a “powerhouse”. He holds the honour of being the first, and currently only, Irish Draught stallion in the world to be recognized as a Class 1 stallion with a GOLD merit in dressage by Horse Sport Ireland.
