Born in France, Ilian De Taute was one of the top 4 year old stallions in 2000. He placed 16th out of the 616 stallions presented, earning himself "Elite" status at Fontainebleau. In 2000, Ilian had 13 out of 14 double clear rounds. Ilian’s sire, Narcos II, is one of the most famous French horses ever. He is 2nd in the world rankings for show jumping progeny, behind Ramiro Z but ahead of Voltaire. Ilian’s dam, Ondine Du Mesnil, herself a grand prix jumper, has produced 5 international money winners. Ilian has had a phenomenal career to date. In 2002, he placed almost every time out, including many championships. In 2003, he started his career with Ian Millar, Captain Canada, who was really excited about him for 2004. In 2005, Ilian started the Big League Grand Prix. He placed or won in 5 out of 7 GP, including the $150,000 GP in Florida. Ilian has proven he has what it takes; he will be aiming for the World Cup Series in 2006 and 2007, and has started off the 2006 season fabulously with a 2nd place in the $50,000 GP in Florida, with a fast double clear, and was the highest placed Canadian. Ilian crosses well with both warmblood and TB and his babies are doing well on the line circuit and under tack.
