The Animal Pedigree Act requires that all animals sold as registered stock must be officially transferred by the seller and the certificate of registration presented to the purchaser within six months of the date of sale. To complete the transfer ownership, we require the original Certificate of Identification completed on the reverse or with a transfer of ownership form or copy of bill of sale. Duplicate Certificate A notarized statutory declaration is required to obtain a duplicate certificate of identification. The registered owner must complete the declaration showing in a satisfactory manner that the original has been lost, destroyed or unobtainable. If you are not the owner of record, you will need to supply proof of the chain of ownership from the last recorded owner.
