Caddyshack B, a bay colt bred and owned by Sylvia Dixon and Beasley Sport Horses of Schomberg, Ontario is the winner of the Canadian Sport Horse Association’s National Foal Championships 2011.
The big-moving colt is sired by Cardento, the Holsteiner stallion that helped earn silver team medals for Sweden at the 2002 World Equestrian Games and the 2004 Olympics and is out of the F1 Canadian Sport Horse mare Balou Babe by Balou du Rouet.

A Canadian Sport Horse gelding and his rider have been named to the United States Equestrian Federation’s Eventing High Performance Training Lists to participate in training and development programs in 2012.
The athlete/horse combinations on the lists will be invited to train this winter with U.S. Chef d’Equipe and Technical Advisor Capt. Mark Phillips. Preparation for and success at the 2012 Olympic Games were the highest priorities in developing these lists.

Three Canadian Sport Horses were among the mounts used by some of Canada’s top event riders in a two-day clinic with World Champion and Olympian Mark Todd in early November.
The clinic at Ghostwood Farm in Hockley Valley, part of a fundraiser for the Youthdale Treatment Centre Riding Program, was organized by veterinarian and eventing enthusiast Dr. Usha Knabe. The stands were packed with auditors who came to watch the eventing legend share his skills and knowledge.
